Isaiah Collier: Parallel Universe

The artwork and choice of typography is inspired loosely by the seminal modernist jazz record cover by the "Art Ensemble of Chicago - People in Sorrow,” of which Isaiah Collier is one of its disciples and pupils. The repeating image of Isaiah is a play on the album title and songs, which attempt to elevate the listener to a parallel universe. Further more the four panels are a nod to the rhythm 4/4 and also the number of songs per record and are repeated on the reverse of the cover and booklet cover to reinforce the idea of elevation. Included is a 2xLP with photography book from the session.
